How To Be A Direct Sales Superstar

For those of you who follow my blog and aren’t in direct sales this post may not be for you. However I can assure you that the information here will help you no matter what business you’re part of. So I do hope that you will read on.

For those of you in direct sales this is a very important post. I want to share with you what I believe to be the most important characteristics and abilities that are necessary to build a great direct sales business. I want to add value to you so that you can build what we’ve been able to build.

Here is the secret:

The characteristics and abilities necessary to build a great direct sales business are completely and totally exhibited on a consistent basis by my wife Meghann.

Now I know what some of you are going to think – I am completely biased, how can this be objective? But I assure you that my analysis is objective, and my wife is far too humble to ever admit this herself. However the reality is clear, she is a direct sales rockstar.

Make no mistake about it, she is the heart and soul of our business. Our direct sales business is something that we are very proud of. It is something that has been built from the ground up, something that we have put our heart and soul in over the last three and a half years. It is now something that provides us with a very stable and good income. Each day I do my best to add value in a real way toward our business and team. But without Meghann none of this would be possible.

So what is it? What makes her special and allows her to succeed in a real way in this industry?

The first thing is rooted in her humility. She does things for the right reasons. She doesn’t care about the prestige and the money that comes with her position in the company. She truly cares about her customers and her downline. So you want to be a star as well? Learn to care. Learn to do things for the right reasons. Help your customer because you care about your customer. Help your team because you truly care about the team. If you are only in it for the money, or the freedom, or the significance you will never rise to the level of success of someone who truly cares.

Next – you’ve got to hustle. Meghann is the barometer of hard work that I gage myself against. She is the most tenacious and determined person that I have ever met. Once she locks on a goal it’s just a matter of finding a way. She doesn’t get discouraged and she doesn’t give up. If things don’t work the first time, she takes a different route. If you want to be a star you have to have this quality. There is nothing that can replace it. She believes entirely that nothing is free in life and that you have to work for anything worthwhile. She backs her belief with action every single day.

She doesn’t whine or complain when things get hard. She digs in and grows stronger in her resolve. She doesn’t blame others when things go wrong, But rather looks inward to see how she could change. She keeps her sights set on her goals, and she doesn’t let distractions get in the way of what she wants. She understands her why and it drives her every day.

She is fearless. You will never become a star in this industry if you remain in your comfort zone. From the beginning every day Meghann has stretched her comfort zone and stretched her limits. Courage is a habit, not a one time act, and it is essential that you develop courage if you want to succeed in this industry.

She has a burning desire to see others succeed. Every day the success of your team members should be on your mind. You must be willing to do whatever it takes to help them in whatever way they need. This I have seen day in and day out for years now with Meghann. I’ve seen her cheer when team members succeed. I’ve seen her cry when team members struggle. I’ve seen her stay up late at night just so she can help her team members put in their orders on the last day of the month. This isn’t just a business for her, this is part of her soul. You want to be a star? Get that passionate.

She believes in her abilities, she believes in the company, and she believes in the team. She will never give up. Her example is one of faith, action, courage and absolute tenacity. You want to be a star in this industry? Model those attributes.

I am so grateful to have a business and life partner that I truly look up to, that I truly learn from each day and who I truly value and love. Meg you are great. Thank you for all you do!
